By

2015-07-23As the sign says:

“Here, an important Indian trail connecting the Delaware and Susquehanna Rivers ascended Indian Point to Powwow Hill. The path was used by Delaware Indians in their migration to the Wyoming Valley, and later by Connecticut settlers.”

The route of the Delaware Indian trail from Minisink Island to Wyoming. Refugees from the Massacre of Wyoming, 1778, camped by the “boiling” spring, which is in the woods a few yards of this sign here in Pennsylvania.
